Lattice Method

As we are working on some two by two digit multiplication skills, we are trying different methods. A variation of the classic/traditional model that we are studying is the LATTICE method of multiplying. Many students like it better than classic style. We will be practicing this in class. Christmas Homework this week

Make sure to check the Homework section. There is still homework this week---working on our multiplication of two and three digit numbers by two digit numbers. The students need to work on this skill as much as possible!

Our Christmas Concert is coming up!

Our Christmas Concert is coming up on Wednesday! There are two shows...one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Both are identical. Please try to come out and support our students by watching their hard work.

PJ DAY tomorrow ( and bring a board game you enjoy)

Thursday already!!? We forgot to write in our Agenda's that it is PJ and Board Game Day tomorrow. If you bring a $2 donation...wear your jammies! Last block students will be playing some board games in class. FUN!

Snow Day

Please note, the buses and taxis are cancelled today. A travel advisory has been issued for heavy snowfall. If you come to school today, take care driving. The last snow day we had 9 students attend, so no new material was covered. The same applies for today---no new material, only review. Our science test is postponed.

HOUR OF CODE IS HERE!

Even though Miss. Sturgeon is away sick with a bad flu, HOUR OF CODE will still go on! Second block on Thursday, after library, students need to log on to:

Choose your coding game theme (Star Wars, Minecraft, Angry Birds, Moana...) and then watch each tutorial video and try the challenges. They get harder each level.

Bus Evacuation Drill Tomorrow morning

Our Amazing Class Trip!

Here are some photos from our wonderful tours today. It was an excellent day, in spite of the snowy weather and slow check through security! The students got to see beautiful architecture and enjoyed the process of how a Bill gets to become a Canadian Law! Not to mention the beautiful Christmas decorations. It was like being at Hogwarts School (Harry Potter) at Christmas!
