It's ANOTHER Snow Day!

The buses are cancelled due to snow accumulation. We go a record breaking 51cm in Ottawa! Wow!

It's a Snow Day

Busses are cancelled today. Lots of snow expected! It is finally a true 'snow' day (meaning we actually get snow instead of ice and freezing rain!)

Report Cards

Report Cards will be coming home this week, on Thursday. Alternative IEPs will also be in the envelope for some students. Please sign and return as soon as possible.

Students are encouraged to practice logging in to their Google Drive and creating docs to share. It is a good idea if students know how to type stories and share their work with the teachers!

Miss. Sturgeon will be away on Friday, doing a presentation.

Tomorrow will be very snowy, it seems. Take care on the roads! Check for bus cancelations in the morning.

Miss. Sturgeon away tomorrow afternoon

      Miss. Sturgeon will be away tomorrow (Friday Feb.12th) afternoon putting together a presentation about Accountable Talk in the classroom. She will also be away all day Friday Feb. 19th to present to the teachers the data learned from the Conference she attended a few weeks ago in Kingston.

Skating!

Don't forget, it is skating tomorrow with our morning class. It begins at 10:00 (in french class). A supply teacher will meet the students at 10:30, as Miss.Sturgeon is in the office for a PLC meeting!

Valentine's Day

If your child wishes to bring in Valentines to hand out to the class, they can bring a card for each student in the class. In junior grades, the participation/interest in doing so begins to wane. In grade 4, some bring cards, some do not. That is ok!

Our morning class will do a brief card exchange before lunch. There are 28 in the class. Names to create cards will be posted below:

School Buses are cancelled due to bad road conditions. If you bring your child in to school, pick them up at the end of the school day.

No new curriculum is covered in my class as it is unfair to the many that can't come.

School Bus Cancellations?

There is a possibility that School Bus Service will be cancelled tomorrow due to weather conditions. The School Transportation Authority makes this information available to parents on their web site http://www.ottawaschoolbus.ca as of 6:00 am. If busses are cancelled in the morning they DO NOT run in the afternoon no matter the weather. Parents MUST pick their children up at 3:45 pm, dismissal time.

In the event that bus service is cancelled tomorrow, Lunch Lady will also be cancelled. All children arriving at school MUST bring a lunch with them. An alternate day for the Lunch Lady will be arranged if necessary.
