Final Countdown!

Our final weeks are arriving. These last few weeks of math will be a focus on division and some fractions, in addition to other strands and problem solving (as always) woven in. Students will be trying to earn their Ontario Dividers License this month!

Language will be practicing persuasive writing and reading out loud with good expression and intonation (through poetry) for oral communication.

Science will focus on Conservation of Energy.

1:30 - 2:00pm                 Community Health Nurse - Learning Commons

Tuesday, May 8th  

School-wide Yoga- Gym closed all day -Our Class is 10:50 - 11:20am

7:30 pm Education Week Eucharistic Celebration at Notre Dame Cathedral

  

                              

Wednesday, May 9th

Wear St. Martin de Porres school clothing/school colours (red, black & white) - Spirit Day

** Students need to have a parent with them to come early for the Open House**

8:15 am - 9:00 am Rise and Shine Breakfast and Open House - Grandparents and special guests are encouraged to come!
Staff and parents need to bring 6 nut-free muffins.

Student lead initiatives - booths set up in the Learning Commons:

-Used Book Sale - between 50 cents - $5.00 (proceeds to CHEO)

-Handmade Bookmarks for sale - 50 cents each (proceeds to Water Aid Canada)

-Raffle tickets sold for 50 cents each to be Principal for a Day (proceeds to Social Justice Club)  

9:15 am Students go to classrooms for attendance
