Homework

Homework this week is making Math Test Corrections and answering the small reflection sheet about the test. Please keep this assessment in the duotang and return as soon as possible so it does not get lost.

Accountable Talk

We are putting a spotlight on Accountable Talk to increase the amount that students answer orally in full sentences. Accountable talk also foster deeper connections between students.

Please encourage your child at home to answer orally in full sentences when chatting with you, (not just yes or no answers), or ask them to give reasons as to why they said something. Here is a fun starter video that shows the way we are speaking in our classroom when we listen to each other:

News

We are busy this week with lots of special sport activities!

Our morning class had Rings and Rocks indoor curling on Monday, we just had skating today, tomorrow we have Gym Jam Tennis Instruction...whew!

We have begun Graphing in our Math program. Keep your eye open for graphs, tables and charts in real-life: magazines or websites! In Language we are doing a grammar focus week, then writing and illustrating our own novels.

For those who want to see our Remembrance Day video, stay tuned for a link to an uploaded video. Parents have been sending Memory Sticks, and since the video is HD, they are too small to hold the movie.
