Problem to try at home

Our class puzzled over a problem today. The answer was debated, but will only be fully solved next week. Try at home with mom or dad and see what they think the answer might be...

There are 10 markers in one  Crayola box. A crate holds 200 Crayola marker boxes. How many crates are needed for 20,000 markers?

We had the following answers most often:
10 crates,
100 crates
and 20 crates. Hmmmmm...Which is correct?

Xtra Math!

Our class is proud to launch Xtra Math as a pseudo-replacement for our Mathletics. It is very different in format and is structured to give students a workout with their basic facts in all four operations. This allows students to advance to problem solving in the classroom more readily, as they are not bogged down by figuring out basic times tables, division etc. Practice daily for best results! It's like a daily vitamin!!

Parents--- invites will be sent home soon. You will get an awesome weekly report of your child's math progress!

Mathletics- Sad News

It is with sad news that we tell parents and students that Mathletics is no longer supported for K-6. Students will be able to use Mathletics in Grade 7. If you still can access your account, it will be old work/last years math. Nothing new can be added, teachers do not have access.

OH NO!

The school noticed our permission slips for the Fair tomorrow did not have signature/autograph spaces. We have returned them to you to sign tonight. Please send them in with your signature for tomorrow.

It looks like the weather will be wonderful for the trip!

WEAR SHOES THAT CAN GET MUD ON THEM. Shoes get dirty on this trip every year. Don't wear nice ones.
