Here is the schedule for this upcoming week! Its going to be very busy!

Monday, May 2nd        Yoga sessions 9:15 - 3:30

Start Rosary Bracelet making with buddies (Primary paired with Junior)

Tuesday, May 3rd      Grandparents and Special Guest Day - 9:15 - 10:30

Easter Mass – 2:45 pm

                                    Eucharistic Celebration at Notre Dame Cathedral - 7:30 pm

Wednesday, May 4th Rise and Shine Breakfast and Open House 8:15 am – 9:00 am   

Dance Showcase performed for parents in the gym 9:30 am        

Bookmark Sale (made by students with a growth mindset message on them proceeds to Holy Redeemer Church) and Used Book Sale (proceeds to CHEO) and raffle tickets for Selena Gomez concert (proceeds to Social Justice Club) in the Learning Commons 8:15 am - 9:00 am

                                   Students go to classrooms for attendance for 9:15 am

                        Wear school clothing and/or school colours - red, black and white

Thursday, May 5th     Dance Showcase at Sacred Heart High School 9:30 am – 1:30

                                     Rosary bracelet buddies 9:15 - 10:30

                                     Clean up the Capital 10:45 - 12:00

CGE Assembly - Stewardship of Creation and Dance Showcase 2:30 - 3:30

YIKES! Math tests forgot to come home!

We were so wrapped up in kicking off our new math unit (measurement) and our new writing unit (persuasive writing) that we completely forgot (the students AND myself) to send home the math tests. (Or perhaps the students were happy to forget to bring them home!) They will come home tomorrow and be due back Monday instead of Friday.

Grade 4's have their Geometry Test tomorrow. Don't forget to review your study guide so you remember a lot of those MATH WORDS. Geometry is vocabulary heavy and everything revolves around knowing your definitions.

Homework and Study Guide

The regular duotang homework practice came home today, working on properties of shapes, especially quadrilaterals. Our Unit MathTest will be next week for 2D geometry. The students have been doing very well learning about polygons, creating artwork about shapes, studying line segments, rays and quadrilaterals.

The study guide will come home on Friday. Students will participate in 'filling' in the answers and definitions to study. If your child studies the guide, they should meet with success on the test...there are no surprises. Tests are based on the guides.

Vesey's Flowers Orders are due Thursday! Yearbook orders were due today (bring them last minute tomorrow if you wanted one!)
