Since I am not sure if it will be an ice/snow day or not, I will say Merry Christmas now to all the families and my students! I love teaching you all and watching you learn new math and improve your writing skills. Rest up over the vacation and I will see you all in January!
Best Wishes for a wonderful, joyful Christmas!
Welcome to the information hub for Miss.Sturgeon (and Mr.Pickles the seal). This is where the Grade 3/4 Sturgeonites will meet to find links, homework and weekly classroom information.

Shopping for a good cause...
Our annual White Elephant Sale is back and its tomorrow! Bring a few dollars for our fundraiser and do some Christmas shopping! Students will be going by class down to the gym to take a peek at items and buy a few things for friends and family. This is also a bonus as it helps our EcoSchools Initiatives: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

Math Test
There will be a Unit Math Test Study Guide coming home Friday. Watch the agenda for it. We will work on filling in the guide on Friday and then it will come home. Students can review on the weekend and bring it Monday for final practice. They can also study Monday night with it.
The topics covered will be from the Patterning and Algebra Math Strand: solving pre-algebra style equations, representing equality, problems solving with variables, in and out pattern boxes and solving patterns with a table of values. The test will be Tuesday.

Advent Begins
Advent has begun! Our class will be participating in weekly Advent Liturgies. If your child has been selected (via random draw from the many volunteers) for a reading, watch for the piece of paper to practice to come home Tuesday evening in the agenda.
