Education Week Schedule

Our busy schedule this week! In addition, our student teacher will be teaching most lessons this week.

Monday, May 7th     

 9:30 - 10:00am               Grades 4 - 6 Catholic Education Week Liturgy

1:30 - 2:00pm                 Community Health Nurse - Learning Commons

Tuesday, May 8th  

School-wide Yoga- Gym closed all day -Our Class is 10:50 - 11:20am

7:30 pm Education Week Eucharistic Celebration at Notre Dame Cathedral

  

                              

Wednesday, May 9th

Wear St. Martin de Porres school clothing/school colours (red, black & white) - Spirit Day

** Students need to have a parent with them to come early for the Open House**

8:15 am - 9:00 am Rise and Shine Breakfast and Open House - Grandparents and special guests are encouraged to come!
Staff and parents need to bring 6 nut-free muffins.

Student lead initiatives - booths set up in the Learning Commons:

-Used Book Sale - between 50 cents - $5.00 (proceeds to CHEO)

-Handmade Bookmarks for sale - 50 cents each (proceeds to Water Aid Canada)

-Raffle tickets sold for 50 cents each to be Principal for a Day (proceeds to Social Justice Club)  

9:15 am Students go to classrooms for attendance

Parents/visitors invited to the gym to see Dance Showcase

1:10 - 1:40pm                    Police officer Presentation

Thursday, May 10th   

9:30 - 1:30 pm     Dance Showcase
9:30am-10:20am              Photography Buddy Teaching Mrs. Corrigan's Class

10:45 - 11:30                  Clean up the Capital

2:30 - 3:00 pm                  Staff and Students go to the gym to watch Dance Showcase

Friday, May 11th

8:00 - 9:00 am                Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast      

1:15 pm               School wide Bingo

Photography sessions - Junior students teaching Kindergarten and Primary students photography skills
with a theme of empathy and kindness.
